Iraqi troops will donate money to the United States wildfire victims in California.
The soldiers say they want the American people to know that "we are family."
The $500 Iraqi donation is the fourth donation made to Americans in need.
A team of chaplains from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is working with churches and local emergency crews to minister to fire victims.
"My heart goes out to particularly to the elderly and those folks who are just too devastated and emotionally unraveled to even be able to fill forms out to get assistance," Head Chaplain Jack Munday told CBN News.
"Our role at this stage is to really come alongside and assist them and help them with the resources in the area, to pray with them and to really offer God's hope that although their loss is just devastating, that the Lord can give them a new normal," he said. "We've seen over the years in disasters we've responded to all over the world that the Lord is faithful and that He'll be with them through it.
Munday says the BGEA will train volunteers who want to join the rapid response team.
