Pastors and Christians from across Virginia will be rallying this weekend in support of police chaplains who resigned amid a prayer controversy.
The Virginia state police superintendent recently asked chaplains to offer only non-denominational prayers at public events and ceremonies.
Six chaplains resigned after they say they were told to not pray in the name of Jesus.
One of the chaplains spoke with CBN News and said he resigned because he felt like the state was forcing him to deny his personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
