The U. S. Supreme Court has denied a challenge in the case of a Texas death row inmate.
Khristian Oliver claimed his constitutional rights were violated by jurors referring to the Bible to decide his sentence.
Oliver accused jurors of using the scripture that says a murderer who uses an iron object "shall surely be put to death."
The high court ruled that even though the jurors were wrong to use the Nible, there wasn't enough evidence to show there was prejudice sending Oliver to death row.
