After some controversy, an eight-year-old girl's dreams of going to Disneyland have come true.
Entrepreneur Daniela Earnest started her own lemonade stand Monday in Tulare, California. She wanted to raise money to pay her own way to Disneyland.
However, her location of the stand got her in trouble with the law.
The city said she was operating without a permit, and it was located on a dangerous intersection. Police officers shut the stand down the same day.
Earnest told city council members that she chose the area because it had more traffic than her neighborhood.
The city has decided to allow her to continue selling her refreshments. A local radio station has also offered to pay for her family to visit Disneyland in exchange for 30 cups of her lemonade.
"I feel pretty happy," Earnest said. "You feel like you've accomplished something with the lemonade stand and then we get to go to someplace that's real fun."
