Evangelical Christian group Focus on the Family is facing a nearly $6 million shortfall -- and now it's reaching out to donors and other Christian organizations for help.
Focus on the Family president Jim Daly also sent a letter to the organization's 800,000 members asking for support
"I want to assure you that we're committed to good stewardship and living within our means ... Just as so many families are today," Daly said.
Its "Love Won Out" conferences on homosexuality will now be sponsored by Florida-based Exodus International.
The group was founded by child psychologist Dr. James Dobson in 1977.
