Tuesday is the 46th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
Events are planned around the country honoring the historic speech when Dr. King laid out his vision for racial equality.
School children are gathering in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday for an event known as Kids for King.
At the U.S. Department of Education, black leaders are launching a new initiative, urging fathers to take their children to the first day of school this year.
