Federal investigators are uncovering new evidence against the man accused of kidnapping a California girl and holding her hostage for 18 years. It may prove not to be his only crime.
Police said Phillip Garrido may be connected to the murders of as many as nine women in the 1990s.
Authorities spent the weekend digging up Garrido's backyard looking for clues.
Meanwhile more details are being uncovered about young Jaycee Dugard's life as a prisoner.
"She was in good health," said Jimie Lee-Contra of Costa Sheriff's Department. "But living in a backyard for the past 18 years does take its toll."
However, Ben Daughdrill a customer of Garrido's business was skeptical of the situation.
"I would say if she came out to my truck to bring business cards without anybody that she wasn't locked in a box," he said.
Police also said Garrido gave the FBI a bizarre report about cures for sexual predators two days before his arrest.
