Michael Vick made his return to the NFL with his debut with the Philadelphia Eagles to a rousing ovation from the crowd in Thursday night's preseason game.
The quarterback signed with the team after serving 18 months in prison for a dog fighting conviction.
His return to the NFL has brought mixed reaction from fans, but Vick said he is glad just to be able to get back in the game.
"It was great to finally get out there and get my feet wet and get a feel for the game again and see if speed is still same as two years ago, and it felt the the same," Vick said. "It's almost like riding a bike -- you never forget how to do it."
"It as a great day for me overall," he added. "I'm pleased I have to give thanks for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
