A Florida 7th grader recently saved the life of a teenage driver whose truck swerved into a frigid neighborhood pond.
When 12-year-old Matt Norton heard the crash, he jumped into the freezing murky water.
"The whole car filled with water once I opened the door, but then I saw a hand reach up," Matt told Ponte Vedra, Florida's First Coast News.
He was able to pull the driver out and both swam to shore.
Matt's neighbor, Howard Wallenstein, witnessed the boy's heroic actions.
"Matthew is a real American hero," he said. "It's either in you or it isn't, and Matthew's got it."
Both boys are reported to be doing just fine.
