A thrift store worker deserves an "Employee of the Year" award.
Rose Wingo was sorting through donations at the "Second Look" consignment store in Phoenix, Ariz., when she made an unexpected discovery.
She found more than $9,000 stuffed inside an old heating pad box, but instead of keeping the money, Wingo turned it in.
"I think I was probably in shock. When I opened the box up these envelopes fell out, so I looked at one envelope, and it was a marriage certificate, and then, we realized there was money in there," Wingo said.
A woman with Alzheimer's disease had been hiding the money in the box. She passed away a few years ago.
Her husband said he's grateful to get the money back, just in time for Christmas.
