Mississippi is the most religious state in America, according to a new survey that took a look at religious practices across the country.
Eighty-two percent of those surveyed in Mississippi said religion is very important in their lives.
Alabama and Arkansas tied for second with 74 percent, just ahead of Louisiana and Tennessee.
At the bottom of the list: Vermont and New Hampshire with only 36 percent. The rest of New England, Alaska, and Colorado were also among the least religious states.
