A new survey shows that Americans are more and more inclined to mix and match religious beliefs.
Sixty-five percent of American adults say they have adopted some elements of Eastern and New Age religions.
And among Christians:
-- 29 percent say they have been in touch with the dead.
-- 14 percent say they consulted psychics.
-- More than 20 percent say they believe in Reincarnation, Astrology, or Spiritual Yoga.
The poll was conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.
Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., told USA Today that the survey shows "rampant confusion" about faith.
"This is a failure of the pulpit as much as of the pew to be clear about what is and is not compatible with Christianity and belief in salvation only through Christ," he said.
