The battle over marriage moves to New Jersey this week where time is running out to pass a same-sex marriage bill under a gay-friendly governor.

On Monday, a New Jersey State Senate committee approved same-sex marriage, clearing the way for a full senate vote on Thursday.

Supporters of gay marriage hope to pass the bill before Republican governor-elect Chris Christie takes office in January. He has vowed to veto any same-sex marriage bill.
