Americans Don't Like Tax Cheats

Ad Feedback

Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of people who cheat on their taxes.

That is the finding of an annual survey released just in time for tax season.

Eighty-nine percent said it's never okay to cheat on taxes.  While only nine percent said it was okay.

Seventy-two percent agreed that it is "every American's civic duty to pay their fair share of taxes".

The survey was conducted by the Internal Revenue Service oversight board, which is an independent agency that offers guidance to the IRS.
