'Fireproof' Actor Talks about DVD Release

CBNNews.com  - The Christian blockbuster hit "Fireproof" will be released on DVD Tuesday.

Fireproof, the independent film about a man's fight to save his marriage, debuted at No. 4 at the box office in September. It quickly became the highest grossing Christian film of all time grossing $6.5 million.

CBN News' Donna Russell recently spoke to actor Kirk Cameron about the success of the movie Fireproof and the upcoming DVD release. Click play to watch.

Christian retailers have already taken pre-orders for the DVD.

The faith-based movie starred actor Kirk Cameron and was directed and produced by the Kendrick brothers of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., on a $500,000 budget.

Cameron says the movie has started a movement with churches all over the country.

"I heard stories of couples walking out of the theater holding hands, renewing their vows, getting new wedding rings, and just restoring their marriages, some people canceling their divorce hearings," he said.

The DVD also features bonus footage, a commentary by Kirk Cameron, bloopers, and rescued scenes.
