Many are calling the recent emergency landing by US Airways Flight 1549, "the miracle on the Hudson."

But what does that really mean? Calling the event miraculous implies that God played a role in saving the more than 155 people aboard the plane.

But most events like this do not have a happy ending. So where is God when bad things happen?

Randy Singer, an attorney and pastor of Trinity Church in Virginia Beach spoke to CBN News about what our response should be in the midst of tragedy.
