President Barack Obama has chosen outspoken Christian, Dr. Francis Collins, to head the National Institutes of Health.
Collins is the scientist credited with cracking the genetic code. He led the human genome project --a team of scientists that unraveled the mysteries of DNA.
In an interview with CBN News two years ago, Collins discussed his deep faith in God. He said he sees science as a form of worship.
"Would not God who gave us this glorious creation of His, and who gave us the intelligence to be able to try and understand it, would He not be worshipped by our applying those tools to appreciate what he has done for us?" he began. "That draws me closer to Him in a way I really can't quite put into word. But it gives me a sense of just how grand and awesome His mind must be."
