Hall of Fame wrestling coach Gerald Marszalek of Fordson High School is suing Dearborn Public Schools for religious discrimination.
Marszalek was fired after 35 years. He said his contract was not renewed because he is a Christian. The school system has denied his claim.
He said the school's principal, Imad Fadlallah, a devout Muslim, fired him because of his association with an Evangelistic volunteer coach.
He said the volunteer, who's also a minister, was dismissed from the program after sharing his faith with Muslim students at a private, off-campus wrestling camp.
