A former Episcopal priest now calls herself both a Christian and a Muslim.
Ann Holmes Redding served in the Episcopal church for 25 years but after her mother's death, she took an interfaith class and learned about Islam.
CBN News interviewed Dr. Clifton Clarke, associate professor of Global Missions and World Christianity at Regent University, for more insight about the issue. Click play to watch the interview.
Redding said it was God's invitation to embrace Islam. She is now speaking out since the Episcopal church revoked her right to remain a priest.
"I am the one who's going to have to answer for this. I'm the one who's going to answer for what I've done with my life," she said.
Redding said she still attends church but also prays to Allah five times a day.
