South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford has been under political fire for revelations of infidelity.
He has been censured by fellow Republicans and is resisting calls to resign, but very little has been heard from Jenny Sanford, the governor's wife.

Now, friends of Mrs. Sanford are sharing how she is holding up and that her relationship with Jesus Christ and the Bible is sustaining her.
"Her strength is in her faith," a friend said. "She has relied upon a verse that she has shared with me in Romans (5:3-4) that says 'Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.'"
Mrs. Sanford's friends say she learned some details of the affair like everyone else -- when the governor held an impromptu news conference -- and she is bending over backwards to reconcile with her husband.
But it remains to be seen if Gov. Sanford will reciprocate those efforts.
