The Consumer Product Safety Commission held its annual firework safety demonstration in Washington.

They stressed the importance of firework safety over the upcoming fourth of July weekend and cautioned Americans about the use of illegal fireworks.

Last year alone, there were seven firework related deaths and an estimated 7,000 injuries.
