Kindness continues to pour from patrons at a coffee shop in Blue Springs, Mo.
Two weeks ago, a woman decided to pay for her own coffee -- and for the customer behind her. Her kind act has caught on in this satellite community of Kansas City.
Since then, customers visiting The Steamin' Bean have continued the chain of kindness. More than 1,400 people have paid it forward, each of them becoming a link in the kindness chain.
"These are hard times but people, I think, are wanting to be a part of something," said owner Garin Bledsoe. "They might not be able to change the economy, they can change one person's day by doing this simple little gesture."
Customers have also donated an extra $600, so the chain of giving will continue.
