A 93-year-old woman has been teaching a week-long Bible study to children at the Ambassador Camp in Lake Waccamaw, N.C., since 1957.
Sarah Sledge, known to the kids at Ambassador Camp as "Aunt Sarah," has become a beloved fixture to almost three generations of campers across the country.
"The Lord laid it on my heart to bring a small group of kids to Lake Waccamaw for a week to have a revival for them," Sledge said. "We didn't know it would be a camp."
"Aunt Sarah is a very loveable woman," camper Joseph Ketusczak said. "She loves everybody. She doesn't care if you're white or black or whatever, she just loves everybody."
"I hope it doesn't make me feel proud, because I didn't do it -- the Lord did it," Sledge added.
The camp's pastor John Mower attributes Sarah's popularity and her longevity to her humility and warmth.
