CBN's Operation Blessing is expanding its relief efforts to the impoverished Appalachian region.

The aid organization is re-opening a large distribution center in Bristol, Virginia.

Operation Blessing has been partnering with Kingsway Charities and several churches in the area.

Workers will be distributing food and toiletries to those in need.

The new warehouse is expected to be fully operational by the end of the summer.

Operation Blessing expects to distribute approximately 15 million pounds of aid supplies in the first 12 months.
