A video of a church performing an exorcism on a gay teenager is hitting the Internet and making the rounds on cable news networks.
The 20-minute video was posted on YouTube by the Manifested Glory Ministries in Bridgeport, Conn.
The video shows a young man lying on the floor as church members call for the "homosexual demons" to leave his body.
The Christian organization Exodus International is coming forward and rejecting the church's practice.
Exodus International provides prayer counseling for people struggling with homosexuality.
Gay rights advocates are calling the church's actions abuse and are demanding an investigation.
A church official denied the teen was hurt in the exorcism.
"We believe a man should be with a woman and a woman should be with a man," Rev. Patricia McKinney told The Associated Press. "We have nothing against homosexuals. I just don't agree with their lifestyle."
The church has since removed the video, but it is available on some sites that copied it.
