Gay marriage opponents in Maine are hoping the expertise of Proposition 8 organizers in California can help their cause.

Frank Schubert and the team at Schubert Flint Public Affairs managed the Prop 8 campaign last year to end gay marriage in California.

Now, the group will run a campaign attempting to overturn Maine's new same-sex marriage law.

The campaign hopes to collect more than 55,000 signatures by August.  That would allow a popular vote on the definition of marriage in November.
