Texas residents near Dallas may soon see atheist billboards along their highways.
The Metroplex Atheists group will unveil two billboards in April with the message, "Don't believe in God? You are not alone."
The billboards will appear off I-35 near Loop 12 in northwest Dallas and I-35 at Braswell in north Fort Worth. The group has already put up an ad with the same message in Philadelphia.
Many Christians, like Darrell Bock of the Dallas Theological Seminary, welcome the debate. He believes an alternate view on God opens the door for conversation and can actually strengthen a person's faith.
"[Atheists] represent a significant minority in our culture," he explained. "They're becoming more verbal and the thing to do is to have a conversation with them about that."
The billboards encourage non-believers to visit a Web site associated with the "Coalition of Reason" to gather more information on atheism.
