Pro-Lifers are mobilizing to protect doctors who are opposed to performing abortions.
The Be Heard project has gathered more than 40,000 signatures for a petition asking President Obama not to rescind the conscience clause.
Instituted by the Bush adminsitration, the conscience clause protects doctors who refuse to perform abortions for moral reasons.
President Obama has proposed rescinding the clause.
Clark Forsythe of Americans United for Life said the rule is necessary to allow doctors to oppose abortion on moral grounds.
"They should not be subject to intimidation or discrimination or termination in termination simply because they won't participate or refer for an abortion," he said.
The public has until April 8 to urge Congress to drop the measure.
