A Michigan church is suing a gay activist group for disrupting its worship services.
The activist group "Bash-Back" shouted sexual and religious slurs, and threw fliers around the Mount Hope Church Sanctuary in Delta Township.
Two female protestors also kissed in front of the congregation. The activist group is known for demonstrations like this.
Dave Schowengerdt of the Alliance Defense Fund told CBN News that similar events will likely happen at other churches. The Christian legal group is representing the church.
"I think churches need to be vigilant and be careful, but unfortunately that's the response a viewpoint in support of marriage garners," Schowengerdt said. "That's why this group attacked this church because they supported marriage and we've seen it in California. We've seen it in Seattle. We've seen it in Massachusetts."
"[The] same things are happening all over the country," he added.
There are federal laws against protestors disrupting worship services.
