Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld prepared top-secret military intelligence briefs with messages from the Bible.

According to an exclusive report in GQ magazine, the briefs for former President George W. Bush had cover sheets with "Crusades-like" Bible messages.

For example, a March 31st, 2003, brief cover sheet showed a U.S. tank and included a biblical quote from the book of Ephesians.

One Muslim analyst said he was offended by the covers.

Other Pentagon staffers worried they would create outrage in Muslim nations if leaked.

However, President Bush and then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers reportedly liked the covers.
