Dr. Ralph Winter has died after a long battle with cancer.
A long-time missionary, Winter was the founder of the U.S. Center for World Mission.
The organization's goal was to bring the gospel to unreached people groups around the world.
Time Magazine named Dr. Winter one of America's 25 Most Influential Evangelicals.
His first wife, Roberta, died in 2001. He is survived by his second wife, Barbara, four daughters and many grandchildren.
A memorial service for Dr. Winter will be held June 28, in Pasadena, Calif. For more information, click here.
