Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Sara Groves released her ninth album called "Fireflies & Songs," Nov. 17.

"This one is the songwriter's album for sure," Groves said in a statement on her Web site.

"I wanted 'Fireflies & Songs' to feel more like friends and I are talking at Don Pablo's over nachos and cheese," she added. "I'm trying to be more confessional, and I hope these songs encourage other people to live confessionally."

Groves has been nominated for three Dove Awards, including "New Artist of the Year" in 2002 and "Special Event Album of the Year 2003." She was also named one of the best Christian music artists of 2005.
