Amidst the holiday shopping frenzy, a college professor and her students are working to make sure children in need have a gift under the Christmas tree.
Southeast Missouri State University communications professor Jennifer Icaza-Gast founded the Student Santas group in 2006.
Each year, toys are collected at the school and then distributed to needy kids in the community. The group reported some 4,000 toys were given out last year.
CBN News spoke with Icaza-Gast about the group and its purpose. Click play for her comments.
