It was another blockbuster weekend for The Blind Side, an inspirational sports drama film about a Christian family.
The movie, starring actor Sandra Bullock and singer Tim McGraw, chronicles the uplifting, real-life rags to riches story of Baltimore Raven offensive lineman Michael Oher.
The film tells how Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, a wealthy Christian couple took in Oher when he was a homeless child walking the streets of Memphis wearing only a T-shirt and shorts.
The couple stopped to question the teen and learned he was homeless. They later adopted the boy and introduced him to their beloved sport of football.
Oher eventually grew up to become a star football player at the University of Mississippi who went on to play for the NFL.
The movie finished second at the box office, but made even more money than during its opening weekend, raking in more the $40 million over the Thanksgiving holiday. That up from last week's $34 million total.
