Virtually on the brink of closure, most people would have written off Oakland, California's American Indian Public Charter School as a total loss.
However, Dr. Ben Chavis, the school's former principal, had other ideas.
Using hard work - and a little free market capitalism - Chavis turned the litter-strewn, rundown school - along with it's failing students - into a success.
Dr. Ben Chavis appeared CBN Newschannel's Midday program on Friday to share the principles of his success and to discuss his new book "Crazy Like a Fox."
