For nearly two centuries America honored its Christian heritage, but in recent decades many feel some have tried to destroy those roots and turn the United States into a completely secular nation.
Catholic League president William Donohue calls it "secular sabotage" against America's cultural and religious traditions.
In his book, Secular Sabotage: How Liberals Are Destroying Religion and Culture in America, he accuses those on the left of systematically tearing down the traditional values and institutions that have been a part of the American fabric since its founding.
Donohue says that over four decades, radical secularists have done a great deal of damage to the U.S. that will take decades to fix and warns that if they aren't stopped, the secularists will succeed.
Donohue appeared on Thursday's The 700 Club to talk more about his book and what he feels should be done to keep secularists from advancing their agenda.
