The country's largest public policy women's group is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Dr. Beverly Lahaye founded Concerned Women for America in 1979 to counter the feminist movement with a godly and pro-family response.
Members from all over the country are in Washington this weekend for the celebration.
One of the events included a prayer walk around the Capitol, which just happened to coincide with the Muslim Day of Prayer also on the Capitol.
"Now on our 30th anniversary, we're seeing that we not only need to have a voice in the secular public square, but also to be praying in regards to the faith of our nation," said CWA president Wendy Wright. "Whether we will continue to be recognized as a nation based on Judeo-Christian principles, or whether we'll be a nation taken astray not only to secular principles but ones that would be respecting a Muslim or Islamic god."
