A new survey says most of the residents in the Bronx area of New York City drink at least one sweetened drink a day.
The survey revealed that men between ages 18 and 44 are consuming the most sweetened drinks.
But now health officials there are launching a campaign urging people to drink less sugary drinks and more water.
The campaign is intended to reduce obesity and diabetes by showing how much sugar is the drinks.
They said just one 20-ounce bottle of soda contains 17 teaspoons of sugar.
And that means more empty calories and added pounds.
