Thousands of Iowans Choose to Help the Hungry

Ad Feedback

Instead of taking the Labor Day holiday weekend off, thousands of Iowans are rolling up their sleeves to help those less fortunate.

Volunteers in Des Moines are spending Labor Day putting together food packages for the hungry. They are hoping to pack four million bags.

The effort is being organized by Meals from the Heartland. The food packs will be sent to those who suffer from hunger around the world.
