Thousands of Muslims gathered on Capitol Hill Friday for a massive Islamic service to pray "for the soul of America."
But the number of attendees fell far short of expectations. It was estimated that the nation's capital would be host to some 50,000 Muslims for a traditional Friday prayer ritual.
But roughly only 5,000 Islamic worshippers showed up.
Organizers said they are moderate Muslims and the "Day of Islamic Unity" was to "inspire a new generation of Muslims."
Fouad Masri, president of the Crescent Project appeared on Monday's CBN Newschannel's Morning program to discuss what he calls the Muslim agenda for America.
