The recent news of an American family sending their adopted Russian son back to his native country over behavioral concerns has drawn several questions about the process of adoption.

Oftentimes families want to adopt, but don't understand completely what it takes to make such a commitment.

Terry Meeuwsen of CBN's The 700 Club says it's important not to be naive and to seek counsel before and during the process.  Meeuwsen heads the program Orphans Promise and has five adopted children of her own.
