A church in Oakland, Calif. is waging a public battle against sex trafficking and child exploitation in their city.
Members of the Victory Outreach Church of Oakland recently formed a gathering outside their city hall to raise public awareness on the issue.
Each week, church members have been trying to reach women and girls working as prostitutes. The congregants say they've met dozens of teens and young women forced into prostitution.
"We're just letting them know there's a destiny for their life. Basically they're all victims," said Sylvia Vigil, the pastor's wife.
A man was convicted in Oakland of human trafficking just last week.
