The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the Gulf of Mexico for at least 11 missing workers after an explosion on an oil drilling platform occurred Tuesday night off the coast of Louisiana.
No deaths have been reported among the 126 workers who aboard the Deep Water Horizon platform, but seven people were injured.
A Coast Guard spokesman says they're searching for some missing workers who might have boarded a life raft.
"We're hoping everyone's in a life raft," Coast Guard Senior Chief Petty Officer Mike O'Berry said.
Meanwhile, fire boats are still fighting the blaze on the platform, which is located 52 miles off the coast of Venice, La.
"It's burning pretty good and there's no estimate on when the fire will be put out," O'Berry said.
