Hollywood is tackling the importance of faith and hope in a new movie called Letters to God.

The film, which tells the story of an 8-year-old boy's courageous battle with brain cancer, opened in more theatres than any other Christian movie, with the exception of Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ.

"Letters to God" director David Nixon appeared on the CBN Newschannel's Midday program to talk about the growing opportunities for faith-friendly movies. Click play for his comments.
