It was an unforgettable night for a girl with some challenges in life.
Dani Wilkening's biggest wish for her high school prom was to find a dress - but she got much, much more.
Christian singer Johnny Diaz worked with a generous community to make it a fairy-tale prom for the Texas teen who is a senior at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, Texas.
"Hey Dani. My name is Johnny Diaz. I heard about your story and it just touched me so much," Diaz told the teen while he performed at the prom.
Wilkening has cerebral palsy, which can make the simple tasks of choosing a dress and getting ready nearly impossible -- that is, until a bridal store owner stepped in and donated the perfect gown.
Then others in the community got involved, offering to do Wilkening's hair, makeup and to pay for dinner and even a stretch limo.
"I was just in shock and how do you say 'thank you' to the people that care about this being a wonderful night for Dani," said Laurie Metcalf-Brock, owner of Dream Day Bridal.
"I just want to thank all the people for doing this and all the people that made this happen, thanks," said Lisa Chua, Wilkening aunt.
After high school, Wilkening plans to apply to a special school for the physically impaired.
