A 5-year-old Oregon boy who got lost on a camping trip was safely returned to his parents on Thursday, according to Oregon State Police.
On Wednesday, little Isaak Glenn wandered into the woods of Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park and vanished.
Although the FBI and 25 trained searches were called in, it was a father and son who found Isaak.
According to ABC News, Pete Barrell briefly lost his own son when he was younger in the same campground. The two of them drove 90 miles to help.
"I guess just being a father inspired me to do something to help," Barrell said. "In a small way I could sympathize."
When the pair found the child, he was hungry and shoeless, but otherwise in good shape. Isaak had been missing for 18 hours.
"He was pretty terrified, but he wasn't crying," Barrell said. "He was wide eyed."
"We couldn't be happier. Part of our heart was gone, and it's back now," Isaak's mom Rebekah Glenn said.
