A pilot and a youth minister survived a small plane crash off the coast of Cape Cod, Mass., Monday. Both escaped without any serious injuries.
The U.S Coast Guard and the Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine Cessna plane crashed about 100 yards from South Cape Beach in Mashpee.
The passenger, Josh Adams, a youth minister at Cape Cod Church, said that they were shooting video for an upcoming sermon.
The pilot, Michael Keeling, decided to put the plane down in the water when he noticed engine problems. Adams said he prayed for help as they headed toward the water.
The two men were able to swim out of the plane and were soon rescued by two lifeguards from the beach.
