For those searching for soothing Christmas music this holiday season, pianist and composer Stanton Lanier's CD "December Peace," may provide the perfect solution.
The instrumental album, released in November 2009, provides listeners with traditional Christmas favorites such as "Silent Night" and "Away in a Manger" along with some of Stanton's original scripture-inspired selections.
"His original compositions and brilliant interpretations of Christmas classics add beauty and peace to a world deeply in need of it," Will Ackerman, Grammy award-winning founder of Windham Hill Records, said.
Stanton is also using his music to help cancer patients through his "Get Music, Give Hope" initiative. The program donates one CD to a cancer center or hospital for every one purchased, according to his Web site.
Stanton talks more about his CD and cancer initiative on CBN News Channel Midday News, Dec. 14. Click play to watch the interview.
