Thousands of college students will use their spring break to help Haiti's earthquake victims.
More than 2,500 Christian students will take part in Campus Crusade for Christ's "Big Break" outreach in Panama City Beach, Fla. in March.
"I'm hearing from students around the country who are excited about this opportunity to help ease the suffering in Haiti in a tangible way," said Mark Gauthier, national director of the U.S. Campus Ministry for Campus Crusade for Christ.
The annual outreach gives Christian college students an opportunity to share their faith with other college students.
This year the students are doing something different: They'll help prepare and pack meals for more than 1 million quake victims.
"I'm thankful for both the students and for the thousands of partners whose generous gifts will help pay for the meals and the shipping costs," Gauthier said.
The students will also invite other spring breakers to "packing parties" where they can work alongside the Christian students.
