Security cameras were rolling as an elderly woman tried to stop a robber at a convenience store in Boston.

In the video, you can see her talking to the clerk as a man walks behind the counter. But when the thief starts to reach for the cash register, the lady starts swinging at him with a handheld scanner.

Unfortunately, she could not reach far enough to hit him, but that didn't stop her. She kept swinging at the thief as he ran out of the store.

He got away at first, but was later arrested.

The woman's age is not known, but it turns out she is a regular customer at the convenience store and took the robbery personally.
